I may be wrong, but are the wheels not incorrect?

planenut 9th May 2020 22:24

No matter, it's had some improvements....."new crank shaft sensor".

Well spotted, they are standard crowns not Jap spec ones.

and new ECU, why?

The hoses going over the engine cover dont look right, whoever looking at it, would really need to go over it well I think, it is strong money after all.

I wonder if the flare holder is still there?

That image is of just one wheel, the driver's side wheels look like they have the dimples (look at the 7 oclock position on the rear), but it is so difficult to see.

Personally I cannot understand what makes a 'Japanese' spec so special. They are a beautiful colour, but surely it is like the yanks going on about a rare year of model, because they only made 50,000 in that year (out of maybe 1,000,000 total production run (ditto the same could be said of the ZT, made less than total production of Etypes, but then there were about 240,000 75 and ZTs produced?).

"The previous owner did a full belts change at 83k"

Considering its MOT in 2011 it had done 87K, the belts / tensioners are at least 9 years old so need changing.

I've seen 3 Japanese export models shod with Crowns which makes me think perhaps some were sent out with them on.
