Xtrons keeps rebooting

I have just been out for a drive after fitting my new Xtrons unit, it keeps rebooting every 5 mins. Sometimes it goes to music player first while I am listening to the radio. Its not a loose connection as I can see the voltage display and that is fine.

Any ideas before I remove it and send it back.

Mine only reboots after I've done something dramatic like disconnecting the battery.

If the permanent live and switched live are all OK then it sounds duff.

Personally I won't buy another Xtrons unit as the aftersales service is virtually none existent.

Good luck with getting it sorted.

Thanks Andy
Yes I agree, luckily it was purchased through Amazon so as far as the warranty goes it should be OK.

Thanks

Thanks, I will try that in the morning. My son is popping in tomorrow to see if he can see what the problem is.

Today we were out in the car and it rebooted every 2 or 3 mins. It does not seem to matter if you have the radio or music player on it just keeps doing it.

Let us know if you manage to resolve it.I have an Xtrons unit myself which so far has proved very reliable.

Sadly that telephone number does not work so I have Emailed them.

I have put in the fact it came through Amazon so they know they will be getting it back even if they ignore my Email.

Email sent at 10.10 am so lets see what happens. Fingers crossed its an easy fix.

Stop wasting your valuable time and return the item for a full refund, and buy something else, unless of course you enjoy troubleshooting faulty equipment. I mean well when I say this so please don't get me wrong.:xmas-smiley-008::xmas-smiley-008:

What do you suggest I buy instead of?

I have a Navall 3 that has been great for the last 4 years then the card reader failed so I thought it would be just a direct replacement.

Alas I am not in a position to advise on a specific brand as a replacement. What I mean is return it, get your refund and then spend a little time looking around to see what is available. In any case someone here will be able to advise soon enough.
