Sandstone leather seat covers
I have a set of Sandstone leather seat covers with heaters. No frames as the rear set were broken and I've used the front ones to make a height adjustable passenger seat.
Now gone. |
are they from a mki with the plastic map pockets or a mkii with the leather map pockets? single piped or double piped please? :)
|
Hi Rick,
They are from a mk1 and the drivers side one was previously damaged on the outside and I broke a couple of clips getting it off. Single piped I think. |
ah thats a shame, no worries was after double piped. Cheers :)

The front are the same as far as I'm aware but the back definitely won't fit a tourer I'm afraid

When you say "the rear set are broken", is the leather intact? If so, would swapping the leather onto the cloth rear seat & bench be a manageable DIY job for a novice, or would it require some expertise in car upholstery?
|
The leather is fine but there is a plastic rod underneath that fastens the piping to the foam and was attached with wire rings that I cut to get them off. Swapping them over to a cloth seat should possible but a bit tricky. Maybe others could advise, I probably wouldn't bother myself as my upholstery skills are better taking things apart than putting them together.

Ah ok - seems like I'd only end up damaging something, so I'd probably be better to wait till an actual rear seat comes up. Thanks anyway.

They have now gone
