The ITP's are different depending on whether the car has an under bonnet low-pressure pump or not.

I would not pay £100 from ebay for a second hand in tank pump when you can contact Jules below .

PS David what makes you think its your in tank, what trouble are you having ?

t4 shows a fault low fuel pressure I have changed the under bonnet pump and the fuel pressure has improved but the fault is still there also I timed the under bonnet pump and it took 59 seconds to stop so I looked in rave and there it says it should run for 20 seconds with that info I disconnected the in tank pump and started the engine it ran so I came to the conclusion that the pump in the tank was not working correctly

What brand of UBP did you fit? Some of the after market ones provide lower fuel pressure than the OEM Pierberg, The in tank pumps usually work or do not, if you listen for its hum either at the fuel filler or lift the rear seat and put your ear to the black cover plate on the drivers side you can confirm this. If it's dead then get a new one from Jules as Arctic has said. It's not a bad job just take your time and gently does it.

PS. The pumps can take anything up to a minute to turn off.-;)

it started when t4 said there was a intermittent low fuel pressure so I tested the under bonnet pump and the fuel pressure was low so I bought a new pump this did not solve the problem so I tried this I disconnected the in tank pump and started the engine it ran and t4 said the fuel pressure read 390 kpa with the in tank pump connected with the pump disconnected it read 360 kpa so the in tank pump is only producing 30 kpa as I see it and rave states that the in tank pump should be 2.5 bar which is 250 kpa and the under bonnet pump should run for 20 seconds that is why and I am trying to find a way of testing of how much pressure the pump does exactly produce

I'm no expert, but your fault may lie elsewhere.

I think the intank pumps purpose is to move fuel over the fuel tank saddle. Some owners (myself included) have a faulty intank pump, but as long as we keep the car above 1/3rd full we don't have any issues. We usually find out the intank pump has given up the ghost when the car "runs" out of fuel even though there is still plenty in the tank. When this happens, adding a gallon or two usually gets the car going again.

Hopefully someone in the know will come along and either confirm the above, or to tell you to ignore it because it's a load of codswallop :D
