The car was parked outside my home under a streetlight and I was about 20ft away.

Glass smashed, PDA and bracket gone, Door scratched.

SOCO have been here and there are no fingerprints.

Oh! and the insurance company cannot get anyone here until next weekend. They told me to secure the car. I said "How? Will a binbag and cardboard suffice?". Answer "No". It needs to be secured but they cannot tell me how.

Great day today.

Hiya. I take it that they did not gain access through the door because of it being super locked.. How on earth did they remove stuff by just reaching through the window,? As for the window itself... Get in touch with one of the emergancy repairers such as auto glass..Most of these companies deal with nearly all insurance companies. I had my screen replaced a couple of weeks ago... Didn't even have to contact my insurance co... They repaired it, signed the neccessary paperwork, paid my 50 quid eccess and that was it. Poppy.

Corin (Messenger) has been kind enough to offer me some glass.

I'll call the insurance company in the morning and see if they'll allow me to use his services fro the replacement. If so I can put some buiness his way. :}

I'll still have to get the door scratches seen too. I'll get a better idea when I see the door in the daylight.

It's autoglass that cannot get here until Saturday.

aparently it's one of the busiest times of the year for them.

I have to wait until tomorrow to talk to head office if I want anyone else to work on the car before hand.

I don't have volumetric alarms so no.. It was quiet.

I live in a terraced house so no garage and the local council ones are to small.

Sorry to see this, utterly frustrating! Last week a colleague had his 3-series coupe's tyres punctured and a deep gouge running up all three panels and onot the bonnet. Random attack as it happened to other cars nearby the same night. Tyres (which are run flats) not covered by insurance and bodywork not worth claiming for, so all in all it will be setting him back £1100...

Luckily it's theft not vandelisum as that has a larger excess :)
