Getting diesel engine back on mount..... **SORTED**

I am not sure what I am doing wrong...

I am trying to resuce and sort a rover 75 that is one of 3 cars in Twilight and was used for the review in Whatcar magazine. It was not in bad shape but the diesel thermostat needed changing.

I have changed it but for the life of me I cant get the engine back on the Engine mount as per photo. No matter what I try.... and ideas.....as it's stranded on the drive.....

I had the same sort of problem , I sorted it with gentle jacking and levering from the rear of the engine

I have just sorted. Yes as you say MG/rover scissor jack worked......

Just keep at it, maybe get a friend to help push/pull the engine while you try different jacking angles.

As most of the mounts are under a tiny bit of tension it does make putting engine back on mounts to be fun!
My accord was really hard the first time but now i have the process of to a Tee as im 10+ engine removals on various different Accords.
