fitted original parking sensors but not working

i have just fitted what may be an original set of parking sensors.
I fitted the original control box in the boot which is where it was on the other 75. I have plugged in the black plug which is the cars wiring harness, the white plug which is the harness to the parking sensors and then the parking sensor harness connects to that.
put the car in reverse and no sound when close to senrors

is there another control box i should have fitted? is the reversing switch different.

any ideas on what i'm missing? currently a bit down hearted.

i'm sure the sensors worked when i removed them from the other car.

If all else fails i will bit them back to the doner car to see if they work

Your profile says you have a 2006 car.

This means you should have a white parking sensor control box and your IPK should have a factory fitted sounder.

The black parking sensor control box has a separate speaker, usually located under the parcel shelf.

Dave yes, white control box in boot. Could the only thing that is left to be checked is the sounder on the ipk?

Nothing else to plug in?

I have read posts about a clicking. With the ignition on, car in reverse with reversing lights on i dont get any clicking at the dasboard or the sensors.

Dont know what the means apart from something not working :)

You should get a ticking from each sensor when reverse engaged with ignition on.

No ticking from any sensor could mean a faulty connection [common wire to the sensors] or check your connections to your new parking control unit.

The beeping sound when the sensors are working comes from the IPK.

The sounder is located near the black plug at the back of the IPK

Do you need to use a T4 to tell the car it now has parking sensors fitted???

I think the sounder is working because if I turn the head lights on and open the dore I get a sounder.

thanks Duotone i'll check the connections from plug at control box to sensors.

not sure what readings I should get from the plug going into the control box from the "ipk" of from the control box to the "ipk".

Klarzy has also advised to check and how to check if the ipk supports parking sensors so Monday i'll do that too
