Autonomous car pulled over by police
Oh dear! A sign of things to come?. A GM cruise autonomous car with no driver at the wheel was pulled over by traffic police because of no lights on at night time:eek:
I thought these autonomous cars would see the end of traffic police in the future as they're programmed to adhere to all traffic laws but it looks like switching it's lights on at night time must have slid under the radar :p: They're going to have to change all the traffic laws for these new world order of autonomous cars as the currant system for enforcing traffic laws will change considerably as to who is legally liable in these situations. https://electrek.co/2022/04/10/gm-cr...uise-responds/ |
No lights? I would say the human inside is responsible?isnt there any control by the person in the vehicle? You opt for the vehicle and put it on the Highway its all down to you in my book. Chris.S.

There was no ticket in the end, I read GM made a video for police / fire service authorities as to how to go about dealing with driverless autonomous vehicles. |
Yes.

That's all you'd need to do, put a traffic cone at the front & back of the car to stop it from moving. These autonomous cars beg another question! When autonomous cars become a thing here would you buy a car that had no steering wheel or pedals? I couldn't really see the point of owning a car that you couldn't drive yourself  |
