Breydon Water is the scariest passage of water in the UK, gives me the collywobbles crossing it seeing the mudflats, the wrecks of onetime sailing craft, but especially recalling the two people who got stuck in the mud on the flats a couple of years ago...imagining them as the tide returned, and there was no escape for them. Awful.

It's super scary in the fog

Thankfully we returned unscathed yesterday;)

Good clear visibilty and calm waters were the order of the day for us.

It gives more confidence having twin engines and a full compliment of ship to shore vhf radio, flares, man overboard saftey equipment etc on board.

Always pays to prepare for a passage over Breydon and to let others know when you are crossing should you fail to arrive at the other side.
