10cc

On a much brighter note it was Celia's birthday yesterday. We celebrated with an evening at the Cliffs Pavilion at Southend. 10 CC no less. What an absolutely superb trip down memory lane. They are on tour, if anyone gets the chance, and if tickets are available, they are simply wonderful.

10cc wrote my favourite song of all time Ray,it's 6 minutes long and sent by the gods,so the band believe .Bet you know the one I mean ;).It's played regularly on Smooth radio.

I found out too late sadly that they performed at Nottingham Royal Concert Hall last Sunday evening.

Great place to go. You are lucky if you live in the area as they have some great shows.
My last visit was to see Dolly Parton's "9 to 5" which was on tour.

Yes Mick, I know the one you mean! Their repertoire is so wide and varied but we've never seen them live before. Absolutely wonderful.

We are 20 minutes away and frequent visitors Mike. Back in the day we used to set out our antique stalls when the shows were on. Many happy days. We saw Glen Campbell's last outing there with his daughter on stage doing duos and keeping a close watch on him. A great place. Restaurant staff were wonderful.

We're off to The Roundhouse in London to see Sparks later this month.
I first saw them at The Hammersmith Odeon when l was fourteen, my first pop Concert.
