Nae bother for Edinburgh Bus Drivers ;) One of my Uncles drove Buses in Edinburgh (retired now) - Good to see the Quality of Driver is still high :D

Same road in c. '85 '86 Leyland Olympian on service 32 traveling in opposite direction to skidding bus. We did it with one hand in those days:duh:

The bus driver wasn't hanging around either as he went sideways around the car, certainly knows how to drive in snow.

Well done that driver, but caption says it happened on City by pass.
Last time I was on the city by pass it was dual carriageway all the way.

The bus driver was going far too fast. It was obvious there was a driver in difficulty ahead of him and I assume a car (camera) on the opposite side of the road. Managing to miss both was just luck rather than skill and observation. When you see a problem, you slow down enough to properly assess, before deciding whether to proceed. The bus driver ignored that rule completely and came close to causing a potentially very serious accident. He should be on the carpet, in the managers office.
