75 washer jet upgrade?
Hi all, I have only just noticed that my wife's Vauxhall has those 'fan' spray pattern type screen washers fitted, I really like the look of those and the fact they seem to cover a whole lot more of the screen when used rather than the straight 'jet' style as per 75.
Question is .... does anyone know of a suitable replacement / mod for the 75 washer jets to change them into a 'fan style' washer? maybe from another manufacturer? I'm looking for a direct fit into the bonnet as I don't want to be filing or altering the bonnet in any way just to make them fit. Anyone done this mod with success ? |
Ford Focus Mk3 Screen Washer Jets are the mist type and fit the Rover 75 bonnet holes perfectly.
The Part Number is 1708797 - Heated (said to be a waste of time) 1708796 - Non-heated Sold individually, so require two off. You'll find the hose connectors are a different size, so a bit of a fiddle to connect up. Personally, I feel the standard washer pump could do with boosting to get the true 'mist' effect. TC |

Is the spray pattern as predicted ... a nice fan shape of mist or does the pump need a bit more pressure? Unsure if my (04) 75 club SE cdt even has heated jets atm as not checked but will be doing at some point today. Thanks again for the info. |

The wiring will be in place behind the drivers side wing so retrofitting is easy if your car doesn’t have the heated jets. |

Is it much of a hassle to remove the under bonnet sound proofing to get to the jets?
