Sat nav problem
 

during a journey, the map on my sat nav just seemed to fade out, and stopped working, the CD player,and radio are both working, it is a BMW series 3 E46 unit, has anyone got any idea of what the problem is, could it be a build up of dirt, on the reader, or damp, and has anyone experienced this kind of problem before,
