Another addition - the launch car that was forgotten

Another car came to live with me today, and quite a rare one it is too.
It is a launch car but not the all singing and dancing Wedgwood one this is the 1.8 club that has a few additional toys such as headlamp wash, heated cloth seats, electric rear blind, front fog lamps and volumetric alarm.
I want to post a huge thank you to Dave lincs for allowing me to take this car on, it is a car that has a very personal history for Dave and I have assured him it is in good hands and will get the care and attention it requires.
There are some cosmetic issues that I will deal with over the next few months and one or two other minor issues to deal with but I have to say, having never owned a 1.8 before, i was really surprised how well it drives, not overly powerful but more than capable of holding its own and barely a rattle or creak from the trim or suspension.
The cambelt is due for changing but having researched on the forum I probably won't have to bother as it looks alright to me so maybe I'll just leave it, NOT!!! 😂😂

The 1.8 is the perfect engine for the 75, the lightweight lump makes the driving experience so much nicer.

(And its easier to work on when the head gasket goes :getmecoat:)

It is a superb car Steve and I know it has gone to a great home where it will be looked after as I said to you the 1.8 cars are so much lighter to drive

Lovely car & lovely colour @ssizefive! :drool4:
Same as mine: Atlantic blue.
When did your 1.8 come out of the lines at Cowley?
Likely before mine which was issued on the 1st of July 1999 I guess...

It was registered 11th June, not looked into production dates yet.

Steve.
