Mini 3.5 audi socket
Is it possible to wire a 3.5 audio socket into my
VDO CD 413X? I have seen videos on YouTube where people have disconnected the CD internally and wired a socket to the connections. The reason I would like to do this is so that I can connect my smartphone direct to the radio via the earphone socket. I currently use a RF gadget, but it's far from perfect. |
I unearthed my FM gadget the other day (plugs straight into the lighter socket then a cable to the phone) and it works really well, does yours not?

Yes it works but is prone to interference. Mine can connect to the phone via Bluetooth or cable, the cable is better. I can have problems when travelling, if there is a local radio station on a frequency close to what I have tuned in. Example, 88.0 is fine in my area, but I may have to change it 20 miles from home due to local stations.
You just can't beat an hardwired connection. I actually think I have found what I was looking for on this forum. A couple of years ago a member did the same thing on the same radio. I am no whizz, but I can solder wires in the right places as long as I can copy someone's work. |
