Replace Clutch Master CDTI in situ
I wonder if anyone has done this and is it possible.
I need to change the master cylinder. I have bought the LHD Ap one that I need to change the pipe work over. Is it possible to just do it by disconnecting in car and replacing. Or do I need to take the battery out and disconnect in the the car to extend the pipework?. |

I was a bit concerned that it would be a bit of a pain when I had to do mine.
The most awkward bit is feeding the pipe to the bell housing connector through. Take a good look at the route it takes across the bulkhead before you withdraw the old one. You will have to keep going from footwell to under the bonnet to route correctly if you are on your own. I got mine almost through the realised I had gone the wrong side of one of the pipes across the bulkhead somehow and had to withdraw it and start again. Avoid that and you should be fine. Good luck! Brian Doh! What a plonker! I read one thing in your post and totally mixed it up in my mind. |
