Look I've cleaned my car.

Hi all,

I have finally got round to cleaning my car, its amazing what 1/2 an hour do with a sponge, car shampoo and a leather and it is so satisfying to see the results at the end.

See if you can spot the postwoman spayed into my paintwork. :D

Hi again,

Now that you washed yours , I guess I will have to wash mine again to have the same result ;) . Lovely color again, by the way :drool4:

I don't use a sponge to wash mine as it makes streaks in the paint when it slides over dirt. I use a mitt. See link herebelow from .org website for the proper way to wash the car.

Ok, I promise next time I'll wash her, I will post more pics with the inside this time.
Incidentally, I come from Lebanon originally. I went there to an American high school and University. Sorry to disappoint you, I'm not the typical French guy, although I have been in France for 20 years now (with French Nationality), I kept my fluency in English and taste for good cars!

I bet you don't see many R75's in and around Pairs, they are all Citroen's and Renaults aren't they? :D

What are you waiting for? I took mine to London just before the meet in Beaulieu last May. Be sure to bring the 75 too

By the way, according to figures here, there were around 21000 75s sold in France since 1999, all motors and models included. However, there are only 3 other ones than mine in Steel Blue, of which one only is also a 2.5 V6+Auto and the rest are diesels (I was informed of these figures by one of the main dealers here)

Maybe it's all those years of fixing computers have slowly drained your eyes colour perception... :D :nurse:

GreyGhost 15th November 2006 23:55

You do realise Scoot was just winding you up and the rest just joined in. Your car looks fabulous in that pic. If you've got the original leave the background in focus and replace the one showing.
BTW you've left a bit of blue car sticking out at the back :)

Simon 16th November 2006 00:22

Considering I'm an avid photographer myself, I should have composed the shots much better but seeing as they weren't meant to artistic then I didn't really set them up much.

My next attempts will be much more thoroughly composed and executed ;)

Just so I can have another gratiatous shot of my car on the forums, here's another (unedited bar cropping and number plate removal) photo from the day I spent four hours cleaning my car.... Enjoy!

Apologies Dave, I was thinking Mk1. Stiil very rare cars. especially in this country. We had an XPG Mk2 on org as well, so we may end up with quads. :),
Fantstic motors.

See you've also got a lovely red car too. Was yours a carefuly considered well-planned buy or, like me, did you see it and go "Ooohhh - I want one of those!" :D

Love the wood, not sure about the wood on the window sills. still very nice.

Simon 2nd December 2006 21:22

That's a fantastic job you've done there!

Alhough I probably wouldn't buy a car with brown wood in it, I must say from an artwork perspective and as a piece of automotive mastercraftsmanship that you have done an excellent job on fitting the picnic trays and the extra wood trim.

Worthy of a prize any day! :drool4:

BMC123 3rd December 2006 00:56

Nice work there  did the health and safety bunch in the UK kill off picnic tables in cars a while back? or did I dream that :) I do think i read somewhere that they reckoned they would cause severe injury in a crash.... like erm... rear headrest tv screens won't

Thanks madone

The Wood kit is from TOC Panels in Peterborough and if I ever get around to it, Henry, the owner says he can measure my dash and make specials for the radio and low-line Nav controls, so they are totally surrounded instead of just the outline as it is now, so it will look like the heater control panel.

Not sure about the price now, but you get the following in the kit.

Heater panel
Radio/Navigation panel
Sport/Ice button surround (Auto)
Light Switch
All four window switches
Rear Ashtray

stef_uk 11th December 2006 21:55

thats always been the reason i don't get this kit...what would it take to go round the buttons and print a few words on them?...ruins an otherwise stonkin kit:(

Henry at TOC just needs someone to go round with their car so he can take measurements. Do you have a low-line system too?

After 10 mins of shunting around on full lock, your mum will probably need some new front tyres too.

mihir2002 21st December 2006 12:17

London + 190 bhp through the front wheels = tyres for breakfast.

No No tell you how to cure idiots like that..........I used to live by a T&at like that, it went on for nearly 6 months the bumper of my 416 was permanently at a funny nudged angle, till one day I rolled the car back and planted my size ten at the point his bumper touched mine, Don't know how much Mondeo bumpers are but it never happened again, don't think he realized he had touched me. Please note I am not a vandal or a bully but enough was enough.

Fille 23rd December 2006 15:30

OK, I know the first message in the thread suggested we should wash and polish our cars and THEn take pics of it. Well, I did it the other way round, thought I'd show you how my 75 Tourer looks right now. Better get it washed after Christmas!

http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...d58663518c.jpg

Still, I think it has its charms also when really muddy and dirty. More dirty pictures in my gallery.

pondweed 23rd December 2006 15:43

thats better! polishing's for wusses. we need some with chainsaws and dead stags hanging out of the rear tailgate hatch...?

the pic of the the car outside the cemetery is a bit ironic....:D leave pipe and slippers at the door....
