CDTi wrong fuel filter

I have taken delivery of a set of filters, to do a service and the fuel filter, despite fitting the top plastic head part, it was too tall, due to being fitted with a drain valve at its base. Because of the height supported on its base bracket, it was too high to connect the two fuel pipes or the electrical connector. Something to watch out for..

Guess it was intended as a BMW version of the fuel filter. I will contact the seller..

It has happened to me twice before, and as you rightly say the filter with a darain tap attached on base is the wrong one, not only does it not fit as too tall, I had a job persuading a certain supplier famous for their constant sales that this was the case, always buy Bosch as these are made in Austria and are very good.
