A/C Clutch
Right, further investigation the noise (after it stopped raining) I discovered that the a/c clutch isn't engaging :o Pointers to look for please, ie fuse? Thanks:bowdown:
Just to add, the clutch spins freely by hand |
And to further add, tried the self diagnostics on the aircon panel, would't work, also the hrw doesn't seem to work either:shrug: Are these connected:shrug: If it stops raining, I'm going to put the P-scan on it, see what happens.
The demist operates the fan, but only when the engine's running, I thought it would come on with just the ignition? |

Have you tried by passing the switch to see if the Compressor clutch works ? Possibly you could have a faulty trinary switch or poor connection with the switch wiring |

It was supposedly regassed by Halfords:shrug: but we'll see:D:D |

Demist test -petrol & diesel engines.
All petrol engine models need the engine to be running to do the demist test, only the diesel works with the ignition at II engine not running.
Also check the single red wiring plug going into the compressor https://i.imgur.com/JajY6Pgl.jpg1 |

A picture for every occasion , Well done Artic  |
Done the trinary test, fan comes on when the 2 pins are shorted, no compressor though on the other 2:shrug: So clutch still not engaging. Would it be prudent to just change the clutch?
