Look I've cleaned my car.
Hi all,
I have finally got round to cleaning my car, its amazing what 1/2 an hour do with a sponge, car shampoo and a leather and it is so satisfying to see the results at the end. See if you can spot the postwoman spayed into my paintwork. :D http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q...p/CIMG1736.jpg http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q...p/CIMG1735.jpg http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q...p/CIMG1734.jpg http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q...p/CIMG1733.jpg http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q...p/CIMG1732.jpg http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q...p/CIMG1731.jpg http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q...p/CIMG1730.jpg http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q...p/CIMG1729.jpg http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q...p/CIMG1728.jpg :drool4: :drool4: :drool4: :drool4: :drool4: :drool4: :drool4: :drool4: :drool4: |
Nice Wash
Quote:
Now that you washed yours , I guess I will have to wash mine again to have the same result ;) . Lovely color again, by the way :drool4: I don't use a sponge to wash mine as it makes streaks in the paint when it slides over dirt. I use a mitt. See link herebelow from .org website for the proper way to wash the car. http://forums.mg-rover.org/showthread.php?t=156398 Cheers, Majed |

You use a polo to clean your car, just shows it has more use than just sucking!!!!!  |

By the way, according to figures here, there were around 21000 75s sold in France since 1999, all motors and models included. However, there are only 3 other ones than mine in Steel Blue, of which one only is also a 2.5 V6+Auto and the rest are diesels (I was informed of these figures by one of the main dealers here) |

[QUOTE=Simon D;6686]Colour? Here's some glorious colour for you all... :D
Oh yes definitely a very nice shade of err um errr what colour is that? Not The S colour, even I can tell :) |

Burning; huh. :) |

Its a real car. Just the background was too distracting so I edited the photo in Photoshop. So now it looks like, errr... a model car. Doh! :fishslap: |
It's beautiful, does look like a model though!! :D
Only the flash reflection reveals the truth..... |
OK I give in.
What colour is it? :laughing2: :driving: |

Back to the picture of car, I'll try and get a better pic of my car up as soon as the weather clears up. No more toy car look-a-likes, I promise. :D |
You do realise Scoot was just winding you up and the rest just joined in. Your car looks fabulous in that pic. If you've got the original leave the background in focus and replace the one showing.
BTW you've left a bit of blue car sticking out at the back :) |
Considering I'm an avid photographer myself, I should have composed the shots much better but seeing as they weren't meant to artistic then I didn't really set them up much.
My next attempts will be much more thoroughly composed and executed ;) Just so I can have another gratiatous shot of my car on the forums, here's another (unedited bar cropping and number plate removal) photo from the day I spent four hours cleaning my car.... Enjoy! http://www.donottumbledry.co.uk/mg_i.../IMG0310_2.jpg http://www.donottumbledry.co.uk/mg_i...IMG0310_02.jpg |

I'm practically blind, but where I come from even the terminally stupid can tell most cars have 4 wheels, some have 3 but never 2. (Some Bikes have 3 but they are just silly):) Very silly  Please post the 2 wheeled monstrosities into the newly created thread in the social forum. Look at all that wood, looks a great job there :)
|
Love the wood, not sure about the wood on the window sills. still very nice.
|
That's a fantastic job you've done there!
Alhough I probably wouldn't buy a car with brown wood in it, I must say from an artwork perspective and as a piece of automotive mastercraftsmanship that you have done an excellent job on fitting the picnic trays and the extra wood trim. Worthy of a prize any day! :drool4: |
Nice work there  did the health and safety bunch in the UK kill off picnic tables in cars a while back? or did I dream that :) I do think i read somewhere that they reckoned they would cause severe injury in a crash.... like erm... rear headrest tv screens won't
|
looks an absolute snorter, well done.
|
Fantastic job, you are very talented. If you fancy popping over England you could do mine! John.
|
clever boy..looks very good
|
Thanks all
John Philips if i go ( not on bussines trip!!) i would like to do something on your contemporary :) whats about a similar look to a Bentley Arnage Red label with black Oak and aluminiun on the dash?:), door capings and aluminiun picnic trays sorrunded by black Oak?? its just a Joke!;) ..or not:D |

The Wood kit is from TOC Panels in Peterborough and if I ever get around to it, Henry, the owner says he can measure my dash and make specials for the radio and low-line Nav controls, so they are totally surrounded instead of just the outline as it is now, so it will look like the heater control panel. Not sure about the price now, but you get the following in the kit. Heater panel Radio/Navigation panel Sport/Ice button surround (Auto) Light Switch All four window switches Rear Ashtray |
thats always been the reason i don't get this kit...what would it take to go round the buttons and print a few words on them?...ruins an otherwise stonkin kit:(
|
Quote:
Henry at TOC just needs someone to go round with their car so he can take measurements. Do you have a low-line system too? |
Went a tootle up the local cemetary this morning took a few pic of the 75.......Before anyone asks, its very peacefull, some great views, and the guy who looks after the church has go a 75 so no one minds.

In an effort to keep the spread of silver cars down here are my two nice blue ones! Ok so they weren't mega clean when I took the pictures, but I thought it was past time I posted them onto this thread. I would have put them in as nice big images like others seem to have done, but I haven't a clue how to. At least they are in the gallery now anyway.

OK, I know the first message in the thread suggested we should wash and polish our cars and THEn take pics of it. Well, I did it the other way round, thought I'd show you how my 75 Tourer looks right now. Better get it washed after Christmas!
http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...d58663518c.jpg Still, I think it has its charms also when really muddy and dirty. More dirty pictures in my gallery. |
thats better! polishing's for wusses. we need some with chainsaws and dead stags hanging out of the rear tailgate hatch...?
the pic of the the car outside the cemetery is a bit ironic....:D leave pipe and slippers at the door.... |
