Highline head unit testing
Hi,
i have a highline head unit taken from my scrapper last year but because the car was a non-runner, I couldn't test anything electrical. is it possible to bench test the head unit just to see if it powers up? I have both wiring plugs in place on the back but putting 12v to the red/black wires in the upper plug achieves nothing. havent found any wiring diagrams neither. Any ideas? thanks for reading. |
Hi Gary,
The wiring for the interconnected units is complex but the Bordmonitor receives its permanent 12v battery supply on pin 7 of C0816 (purple/pink wire) and its ignition key switched supply to pin 11 (light green/white wire). Pin 2 (black) on the same connector is earth. Your connection to the red wire on C0815 applied 12v DC to the RGB red signal input. Unfortunately this may have caused some damage. Simon |
Do you have the RAVE CD, the wiring diagram of the set-up is in there?
