stone chip / painting after sill repair
I’m don’t really know much about bodywork repairs and pairing, so….
What’s the general consensus on painting after a sill repair? - apply stonechip to the lower part of sill, and then paint over to match colour of car. - apply stonechip to lower part of sill, and then paint black, like Cowley cars. - does stone chip come in various car colours?? (It won’t be me doing the work, but I’d just like to know what works best.😃) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Make sure that it is paintable and won't react with the topcoat. Paintable seam sealer works.😉

Many years ago now (35 +) I had some paint work done on a Cortina. The bodyshop aplied the body colour first, then a layer of clear stone chip over the top. It looked great, and protected the colour as well.
No idea if you can still get clear stone chip though  Cliff |
