Low spec car too. Rare indeed as we mainly save higher spec cars. Looks like a basic classic.
|
There is a reason for that though, who wants a thirsty engined basic model?
If it was me and I could afford the fuel then I'd want to treat myself to the toys. :} |
It's a early car

First job, handbrake compensator! Look at that baby pointing to the sky!

There's a certain following for low spec models - I've seen a few Classic models go for silly money in the past. I guess some like the simplicity! :)
Personally, I like the toys :D |
Sorry it's not for me either, wrong colour, spec, and engine.........there are a whole range of pretty colours that these cars were available in, so unless you are an octogenarian, why willingly choose gold?
Brian :D |
As these cars get older, I tend to think condition becomes more important than spec. Ok, this is a fairly basic example but look how nice & original it looks.
There are still plenty of later cars about if you want something highly spec'ed or want to add bits to your taste. But tidy, early cars are getting a bit thin on the ground now, I'd say it's worth every penny ;) |
The same colour combination as mine, although mine is a Club SE and 1.8. It was the gold/beige that attracted me to mine, real 'old man spec'. Although the seats and carpet are a pain in the back side to keep clean :D

I like this car & it's even price negotiable. It deserves a sympathetic owner. If l bought it l wouldn't up-spec it at all except maybe a Symphony...... possibly. |
