That's true but 50gb is not uncommon for a site to have reserved (that's millions of pictures), I don't know what the terms the forum has with the site host, but I would think it would be likely to be way in excess of this limit.

Thanks Paul, I have just tried the fix on one of my posts and it worked very successfully.

As well as piccies not showing because they are deleted, I found that putting them into a new folder in PB does the same. I guess it's cos the address of the image is different and can't be found.
I need to download hundreds of piccies from my phone, and will then put some of them in posts as thumbnails.

Thank you Paul for helping :) :) :)

I tried something else last night which worked for RWPC and worked for myself.

Step 1

In the Photobucket library, click on the photo you want saved. Click on it again and download it to your device. An iPhone in my case using the touch screen, only took seconds per image.

Step 2

On your device, save the photo to its photo album/gallery and keep.

Step 3

At your leisure, upload to your preferred hosting site. I use a cloud service to save space on the hard disc. It's a laborious process, but it is achievable.

There's also an option to download a folder full of images. It's supposed to send you an email with a link to a created Zip file. This worked OK for me a week or two back. Now, it doesn't work at all after you go through the security I'm not a robot routine. After that it crashes out with a Try Again message. So, I suspect PB is now doing what it can to prevent people leaving the sinking ship. Individual image downloading is quick, but a few hundred times quick is a very tedious job.

I suspect they will take the fees of those who subscribe, then have to declare bankruptcy.

ah well, I'll have another look in the morning

The second picture has the suggested "~original~ work round, well done and thanks.

I've just asked Photobucket why I can no longer download my albums using the standard options provided and as they describe in their guides.

All I received back is the standard blurb about updated terms and conditions and third party hosting. None of that is relevant to downloading albums. They say your access to your stuff is unaffected. This is plainly incorrect and must be in violation of their own rules. If you want your three hundred photos back, you'll have to download them one at a time.

Is this fix still working?

suzublu 31st July 2017 11:16

As soon as PB announced their policy change, I downloaded all my pics in folders to my laptop, then backed them to Google's cloud thingy, then uploaded them to Imgur:cool: So now it appears PB have blocked downloading from their site:eek: Stuff 'em:getmecoat::D
