I think the silver and/or woven stainless works well on the darker colours. Did yours have the plastic central grille originally, or just the mesh?

My New Rover 75 Con SE Tourer

Just picked her up on Saturday, so in time on tradition on Sunday I gave her a wash n wax and clean inside to my standard:p:

Mine had exactly what you see - wire 'fence' type mesh - just sprayed it silver along with the spotlamp surrounds and then added the extra chrome trim along the bottom of the spoiler and around the centre grille opening.
