Me box fell off!

I've had a noisy backside for a while coz the back box blew out all its' stuffing. But it got rattly and noisy a couple weeks ago and when I looked, the back box was slapping about. The pipe connecting it to the rest of the exhaust, was no longer connecting nowt as it had rotted through. So I looked at it and figured it's probably time for a new back box.

Fortunately, mate of mine gave me his Peugeot 407sw which needed tyres, brake discs and pads and an MOT. So I got that going whilst my Rover is poorly.

I've done the usual Googleage and eBay etc. BUT I'm none the wiser! Does anyone know what actual exhaust I need for a 1.8T? I've read lots of things about the Klarius exhausts from EuroCarParts, but they list 3!
Walkers don't actually seem to list any and I don't want to spend more than I have to partly because I'm cheap, partly because I'm broke.

Has anyone any suggestions as to where to look? eBay is obviously rammed with things but at every price point and are they any good at any price point on eBay? You can't always get the right thing just by guess.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

Give euros a call and let them have your Reg number, they will find the correct one, I have used them for exhausts for years and never had a problem.

Hilarity ensues

Right. Mate of mine has 2 Rover 75's that he's getting rid of. Scrapping, basically, and he told me I could have the exhaust off one of them. So I went down about three houses, which was where the car was, and I jacked it up and had a look. The connecting bracket bolt thingy was rusted solid and too thick for my hacksaw, so I got a grinder, and tried to go through the exhaust in front of the bracket so I could pull the back box and pipe work out and sort out the connection later. Since 8.30 this morning till now (12.30ish) I've been trying various things until I admitted defeat and gave up. A trolley jack and my huge belly under a lowish slung car do not make for the best working methods!

The fun bit? Mine is a 1.8turbo petrol saloon, this was a 2 litre diesel estate. So it wouldn't have fitted but I thought I might be able to make it fit somehow. A free, non-rotted stainless exhaust is still a free exhaust, provided you can remove the thing!

So, I have once again been thwarted by my lack of knowledge, skill, tools and ability. I do have enthusiasm though, and he is now selling a car that has a hale half way through one of the exhaust pipes!:D

Forgot to mention something scary though. I jacked the rear of the car up, but he'd had a tiny bit of a scrape on that side. Just as I was about to crawl my fat belly under the car to have a look, the sill collapsed where the lifting pad was. It was rotten as a badgers but! Good job I wasn't under it at the point!
I moved the jack to the front of the car and that jacking point was fine and solid, but there is now a big hole in the rusty sill at the back. Looked fine on the outside but man, was it rotten!

I also got him to take the chromed mirrors off, so if anyone needs a replacement chrome bullet mirror, he's got a couple.

I've had a klarius on mine and other makes from ebay without issue the 1.8t and 2.5 190 have the same diameter exhaust, it just depends if its a zt or a 75 as the exhaust tips are different.
