Yes but can be a fiddle, I suggest plenty of lube and don't rush.

Can't see why not. I've done it the other way round often enough.

Have you found a supplier of decent quality arms yet? I'm thinking I might need one myself.

Yes got one on order for Monday from a local factor, Mat is cheaper, but would have to wait for a few days for it to arrive, then got the hassle of going to sorting office to collect.

The way I have removed the arm in the past is to put a puller on the part that pokes out under he car, if you keep applying pressure and wiggle the arm it usually will come. If the centre of bush starts moving put some mole grips on the arm and use them to lever the bush back in.

As I said earlier plenty of lube and take your time.:}

I've had both sides done now, one a year and a half ago and the other a couple of months ago. Matt's were slightly cheaper BUT the garage I trust and use for stuff I can't be bothered doing any more could get them the same day so I went with that - no problems so far!

I do usually give them what I want fitting mind you, and Matt's may last longer but I needed it doing.........

To be on the safe side, I have ordered the new bush too, just waiting for Col to let me know when he can do it,as weather forecast naff for here next week,and I don't have a garage.

Just unbolt the bush from the subframe, then knock it off once you have the whole arm removed.

Strangely enough I have the bushes in stock, and if the last arm I had anything to do with, make sure you have a decent file to dress up the flats on the hexagon, as it was a whole 1.5mm bigger than standard :eek:

Where are you getting the new arm from?
