Heatwave
Seems it's going to exceptionally warm this coming week.
Already been suffering somewhat and have cancelled a trip over to the west Midlands due to the weather. Not looking forward to it. We've not had any significant rain for over a month now here in Suffolk, garden and the wildlife are also suffering. Just watching the blackbirds, sparrows, starlings and my wee garden mouse feeding and drinking by my kitchen door, we make sure they have plenty. Stay cool folks, we'll no doubt be complaining in 6 months time it's too cold, wet and miserable. Well I hope so. |
Although its not supposed to be so bad up here still forecasting high 20s possibly 30. Not looking forward to it, not good with heat these days.

Already had to use my ventolin inhaler, nearly everyday now, might normally use it once maybe twice a year? Also had to use my nebuliser 3 times over the last 2 weeks, normally I go years without it.
See there's a COBR meeting planned, must be serious. |
I saw on Google, Showcase cinemas offering free entry to people with red hair to their air conditioned cinemas on Mon and Tues. Apparently redheads are more sensitive to the hot weather.

keep you earlobes wet and hair out of the way, this will help you feel cool.
Use sun screen/block to prevent sun burn. Any of you leaving your car doors or windows open when the car is parked? macafee2 |
Amber today:

I wonder how much a 75 expands if left out of the shade during this tropical aberration.

Where has the lovely cool breeze gone? I'm sweating like a good'un!
|
Same here, breeze has disappeared, overcast but oppressively warm. The amber warning area has been extended north and now covers here, 28° tomorrow and 30°+ Tuesday. Bugr that, that's too hot for me.

Normal body temperature around 37 degrees. Outside temperature - more than that. :duh::eek: That means it's much more difficult to keep "normal" temperature. Think foreign holidays. If you don't have air con, you need to keep cool with cold (preferably non-alcaholic) drinks, showers or swims (safely). ;)
