Hi Guys,

Can you get the dog involved in a game to get it moving back and forth across the area of the central locking button?

In through the boot method, or pry the top of the door back slightly.

Does anyone know if there is a way to get the doors to unlock if the bonnet is open?

Not much use now, but mechanic should have known, always open the driver door window if working on a car with the keys in ignition. :duh:

The moral of this story is always, always get yourself a spare key.
Looks like Break a window time.

Same happened to me several years ago when we were camping. Dog in car while we were putting the tent up.

After an initial panic, I worked out that I should try the same as you suggested - great game with the dog going back and forth across the front seats. But he kept missing the lock switch.

I was just about to give up and had decided that the rear door quarter light would be easiest to replace if I broke it to get in, when - bingo - the dog trod on the lock switch.

Phew!

I hope you (and the dog) had a similar happy outcome.

Well, we're still in the dark, let's hope the dog isn't.

Yes come on how did you get the dog out and have you still got him? Chris S.
