Help.Dog locked the car can't open.
Hi Guys,
Mechanic is fixing the car and the dog has got into the motor, mechanic has shut the door with the keys in the car. And dog has sat on the central locking button and now we can't get in at all no spare set .Rover 75 tourer. Dazza69 Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk |
Can you get the dog involved in a game to get it moving back and forth across the area of the central locking button?

In through the boot method, or pry the top of the door back slightly.

Does anyone know if there is a way to get the doors to unlock if the bonnet is open?
Not much use now, but mechanic should have known, always open the driver door window if working on a car with the keys in ignition. :duh: |
The moral of this story is always, always get yourself a spare key.
Looks like Break a window time. |
So, what happened??

After an initial panic, I worked out that I should try the same as you suggested - great game with the dog going back and forth across the front seats. But he kept missing the lock switch. I was just about to give up and had decided that the rear door quarter light would be easiest to replace if I broke it to get in, when - bingo - the dog trod on the lock switch. Phew! I hope you (and the dog) had a similar happy outcome. |
Well, we're still in the dark, let's hope the dog isn't.

Yes come on how did you get the dog out and have you still got him? Chris S.
