Coolant leak fro T piece...?

Can anybody confirm the correct part number from the pics attached. I I'm losing coolant and need to make sure I get the right part.

I think it is PCH001810 but would like to confirm.

Also how much would it cost to replace it do you think. I was told the manifold needs to come off?

Thanks,

The fitting is leaking due to using jubilee clips, they are the scourge of plastic fittings. There is no support behind the plastic fitting unfortunately and simply tightening the jubilee clip will eventually lead to the same outcome. Best use spring clips which apply the correct tension as shown in the photos on Rimmers site.

Odds on that no-one has removed the manifold to fit the jubilee clips
This may suggest that it can be done in place. Why not give it a try before attempting anything on the manifold . Disturbing a manifold is the last thing I would try especially on a V. If taking the manifold off make sure you use a gas torch or induction coil thingy, if you try to back off the nuts on any of the joints without then be prepared for shearing them. The manifold face at the cylinder head is usually ok breaking out , either the stud comes out or the nut backs off.

Unfortunately ended up getting the wrong part. I have no idea which pipe it is as the part I got is the only one I can see in the diagram with a t piece connection?

Is the part that you ordered PCHOO1810, which is shown as item 18 in your link? If that is the wrong item then the only other one shown with a T-piece on the same diagram is item 7, PEH101210. Personally, I would measure up the problem T-piece and try to obtain a metal alternative. Any idea what the outside diameter of the T-piece is?

Hi thanks. The part is still in situe it's quite hard to access it to be honest. Yes the part I currently have is PCH001810. Is it the same T piece on item 7 if so maybe I could just use that or is it best to replace the hosses as well?

I've attached another pic if anybody can definitely confirm the correct part.

Not the best pic I know but you can see it in the middle with dried coolant arrond it. The picture was taken from the drivers side front windscreen removing the black plastic protecter then you can see it.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...51d96c8f2b.jpg

No, it is not the same part. Must say, the V6 engine is not my forte. Hopefully we might be able to draw those who are better experienced with the V6 engine variant on to this thread. Simon, aka SD1too, and the likes of Dave, aka stocktake, I suspect will be able to contribute better than me. However I have taken a punt on some items which may or may not be of use to some members, 16mm equal T-pieces which did not turn out to be suitable for my needs at the time. :getmecoat:
