Today I fixed the two chrome ovals that are on the inside of the front door handles, both of which were loose becasue, as I discovered, the retaining clips had been broken off.

Useful threads on how to fix, here:

and here:

Actually I ended up glueing them becase I didn't think there was enough length of unbroken clips left to use the melt-with-soldering-iron method.

Now seem to be firmly back in place. Time will tell.

Just had a little bit of a sad day really ,not only do I need another engine, the slave has given up the ghost and that is now leaking.:eek::getmecoat:

Fitted a new badge to the rear of the ZTT (see my thread for pics http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...63#post1602363)

Also, fitted my dash cam at long last. Had it so long I could not even tell you where I bought it LOL. Takes good video though and comes on with the ignition. A productive day (oh, and tidied my work bench and fitted some power socket in the garage, so i don't have to keep running extension leads) :D

This morning I finally got round to replacing the noisy rear hub bearings that have been humming since before xmas. Passenger side has been the main culprit, but decided to get them both done while Europarts had them in the sale. Passenger side had lots of brown staining from water ingress, drivers side came apart as I pulled it off the hub.

As an encore I fixed the parking sensors that packed up a couple of weeks ago... another section of rotten wire chopped out and new stuff soldered in.

Amazing what you can get done when the sun comes out :}

FLYING BANANA 9th March 2014 19:38

Took The Flying Banana up to Coventry for the Baignton Oak meet. And had The Low Flying Banana re-mapped. Great cars and great company.

Spent a few hours in the company of BigRuss. He enabled the powerwash i fitted yesterday & fitted me a replacement IPK with message centre. I also replaced my pollen filter.

A very enjoyable day.
