The subject for commenting on is unlimited...for example: perhaps you washed, fixed, cleaned, crashed (hope not), sold, bought, modified, passed/failed mot, etc etc anything goes ..... you get the idea. Just thought it might be a successful format for a thread here also?

Anyway, I'll get the ball rolling...

Today I fitted the £5 wiper blades recommended by pab and I'm well pleased with them. Also rodded the plenum drain which had about 1/2 inch of water in it....some leaf litter in the drain pipe..

I lost all feeling in my fingers, changing drop links.

Today I changed my miss matched passenger front and rear doors, now all panels on my car match!

Today I inflated both Front Tyres to 32 PSI , thought I needed the wheels balancing but this did the trick :}

Today I replaced the clips on the fuel hoses on my UBP to stop a leak after putting a new UBP on yesterday

Removed the front speakers that MGR got from the pound bin and replaced them with high power ones.

I changed my leather auto knob for a BM wobbly walnut one.

I changed the thermostat and engine temp. sensor on my 75

Drove to Newquay for a paediatric first aid course, then on to Launceston to work, via home (St. Blazey). Strangely, I didn't see a single 75 or ZT all day. I normally see four or five 75s and at least one ZT.

Booked a service at my local garage (across the road from me).
I don't have a garage, and this is really not the weather for mucking about changing oil on the street.

Gave the EGR one last clean with a chissel, WD40, wet and dry and a rag.

Result cleaner then its ever have been.

Today I sent admiring glances towards my 75 :D

Today I picked my car up from the garage after it had the nearside drive shaft replaced because the original one snapped on Sunday

Brilliant guys, a nice eclectic mix, just what I was hoping for! Keep them coming...

Today dropped car at the garage to have rusty brake pipes replaced and cruise control switch reset :bowdown:

Today the ZTT had a new OEM thermostat fitted. All toasty and warm once more!

Today I drove the ZT to work parked in the car park where it sat having a "all day wash " for free , pi55ed down all day , then I drove it home....

Today I completely ignored the evil money pit and applied for the details of my previous ZTT so I can buy it back.:D

Today I had my new clocks T4d and fitted by Terry at TS Autos :D

Today I booked my 75 in for a service next Monday and treated it to 50 litres of diesel

Today I accidentally kicked the drivers' door carpet trim and it fell off. Tomorrow I will be refitting it with some new fir tree clips.

Today I drove my car on some errands, then waved a tearful goodbye to the walnut wheel.:mad:

Come on Dave get that airbag light sorted ;);)

Today I felt sorry for lesser people as I glided regally by.:suckers:

Today I went to visit Artic. I had the handbrake mod fitted, carried out the bonnet mod, installed the spy hole mod. Changed the inter cooler 'o' rings, changed the fule filter, replaced the rubber trim at the bottom of the door, replaced the silver surrounds on the door handle.

So, all in all a productive day..

T4'd my gold diesel to reset everything after a boot full of water spiked the canbus system.

Trying to figure out my blasted water ingress issue that I have got, and then thinking if I can't fix it what shall I do, get another car? What should I get?

Today we went for a test drive in a new MG3. Very nice to well finished and not a bad drive.
Ordering one next week...

This afternoon I refitted my standard wheel, then ate a chocolate bar to cheer myself up.:cry:

Today I modified a mondeo engine mount ready for future fitting to a launch car.Tomorrow will be thinking up ways to avoid doing all sorts of things i should have done several weeks ago.:D

Today I have been working, as the ZT is my weekend car (lucky enough to have company vehicle ) was really nice to pick her up and take a drive.

Today I nearly lost my ZT-T by driving in the dark on a snowy road that hadn't been gritted.
My botty was twitching like a rabbit's nose for a while!

I went to a car club meeting in Chester :)

I fitted a driver's side cupholder to the ZT.

Today I;

Booked the car in for 4 new tyres
Sprayed inside all the outer door handles with lithum grease cos they keep freezing shut
Whacked a dose of injector cleaner in the tank (double strength)
Purchased a 36mm socket ready for a service in a couple of weeks
Got over taken (but only just!) by the ZT's smaller saloon brother, the ZS. Not sure what he'd done to it but it was belching out black smoke like a good un!

Today I sat inside dreaming of a number of things I intend doing to the 75 but it's nearly 40 degrees C outside so I just go through the process in my mind instead :)

Its 40 degrees here too. Only its farenheit and not celcius.......:getmecoat::duh:

Today had to take advantage of the sun shine and the ZT had a wash and polish and some nice shiney bolts and washers under the bonnet , tried to find the source of my vibration but still no luck , the search continues.....

I've cleaned the 75, and replaced the gearknob.

Today I gave my 75 a thorough clean.

I Vacuumed the carpets and boot, cleaned the leather, cleaned the windows inside and out, and a nice soapy shampoo (supagard) wash and leather off.

Looks fabulous, and has a nice leathery smell inside :)

I've also treated the car to a wash, and a under bonnet wipe down.

Still contemplating fitting the 190 badges under the side repeaters.

Today I've replaced the retainer clips of the rear lights (Tourer), and I've fitted chromed pipes to the exhaust.

I've gave Connie her 6000k service oil and filters good wash polish wax I'm now cleaning the MG straights 18" alloys I bought for her yesterday can't wait to get them on :drool4:

Took mine for a quick run after sitting on the drive for 2 months, (and it felt/drove just like the day I parked it) gave it a quick Wash & Dry and put the Cover back on....

Washed, dried and polished outside. Cleaned all windows, polished dash, wiped leather down, vacumed carpets/seats and cleaned mats. Finally stood in kitchen looking at zt out of the window in admiration for a fair few minutes.

Today I fitted an air filter. Changed the boot cover clip for a new one (Thanks T-Shirt) I tried to repair my loose fitting rear light, to no avail.

Oil service, chrome painted roof bars and grille, fixed a dash rattle/vibration, fixed a plasticy knock from front wheel wells and finally stuck some felt tape around the bottom of the handbrake handle because feels nice and it stopped the handbrake button from rattling. All in all very happy but still not had the confidence to do the in life stat! 😀

Today i got round to fitting the led side lights and Osram Dipped Beam Bulbs..

And finally installed my budget tablet Which cost £85 inc all the parts i needed here are a few pics but no before or during just bits and finished. I wired the 12v socket to the ignition feed to the stereo with an inline fuse for protection. I threaded the Infrared wire for the steering controls for the Kenwood stereo through the cage so it still works the stereo. Then plugged in the Kenwood rca adapter into the stereo which turns the CD function into an Aux for the input from the tablet.

Fitted a new set of wiper blades having seen the thread on here I went for the aero flat ones and they seem much much better so far. I went for the 22" driver and 21" passenger from a seller called performanceraceparts and I'm very happy.

Finally fitted a spangly new set of number plates with the D shaped rear. Really sets the car off nicely.

Tomorrow will be a good clean and then next week I'll be fitting the egr bypass, inline stat and changing the gearbox oil. May also fit a set of 4.3k or 6k xenon conversions but havent decided on that yet. :)

Today I have partly fitted my reversing camera until my hands and back gave out :}, decided that was enough, ate my roast dinner and had a cat nap for a couple of hours.

Tis such a hard life ;), that is until the morning and back off to work.

Don't suppose you have any pictures of the rails? I'm very tempted to chrome paint mine and wondered how they worked out?

Today got up at reasonable time and washed ZT before going for a run to chelmsford. It was a nice sunny day out in Essex although was a chipper 5 degrees. Nice to get outside and enjoy the sun for a change, roll on spring lol.

Had a first go at cleaning under the bonnet of my new V6. Main engine cover, top of inlet manifold, battery cover, air box and fuse box all came up nice from under the grime of many years. A long way to go to get to the standard of some I've seen on here, but had to start somewhere.

have put this job off for 3 weeks! n/s front door woudnt open from outside or inside. checked the "how to" on the forum, looked at the photos etc, tried wd40, arranged a new door card still no good, had a think about it, went to the shed, got the "secret tool" went to the car, got the door open and working in 30sec with no damage! result! pm me if you need to know how? it will work on any of the 4 doors

Drove my wife to wife to Bluewater because spending a whole day at Lakeside was not enough AARRRGGGHHHHH:mad:

After a busy weekend I managed to get 30 mins spare to work on the 75 :D

Changed all the bumper upper, headlight and 2 slam panel bolts for stainless cap screws and washers. Looks great and the bonus is it will be much easier to get the bumper off next time :cool:

Removed the old front bumper fixings and headlight fixings. Replaced them with stainless steel bolts, and fitted a ac xenon h7 5000k headlight upgrade into our projector headlights.removed the slam panel and replaced the siezed ns bonnet latch .Then put it all back together again:D

Filled it up with super unleaded! :eek:

I adjusted the spark plug gaps down to 0.6mm to cure a long standing miss fire at full boost.. Not counting my chickens but a quick drive earlier looks good :D

saw them the other day when browsing the bay to relieve boredom, was toying with the idea of the centre lights then decided against it, current LEDs are bright enough :D

Left it on the drive as I'm on a course in Ayr and commuting by train

Fitted LEDs in boot this lunchtime will have to wait until this evening for the full effect....

Working hard trying to t-cut the touch up paint I applied.

Went to work in my ZT-T. On way home after work I ran out of petrol after about 100 yards :duh: even though I have trip computer

Had new rear brake discs and pads + wheel bearing fitted. Hope to cure brake judder and wheel "drumming" noise. Will find out on drive to work tommorow!

Home early so fixed the rear offside light seal:D

Today I went to the scrapyard and managed to source the rest of the trim I have been missing since buying my tourer, I also found the engine cover bolts I have been missing and a door lock cable and plenum cover for my dad's saloon.

Today I checked the the four wheel alignment using a Gunsons Trackrite. They were fine BTW:D

Last week i fitted the walnut kit from Simon (in Bulgaria) and it looks rather nice.

Removed leaking offside rear light seal, re-glued the join, siliconed both sides of seal all round and refitted. Won't have long to wait for rain no doubt to see if it's fixed...:D

I finally got round to fitting my e-zee digital temp gauge and it looks fantastic and works a treat too

I finally cleaned the plenum covers that I had removed a while ago. Treated them with black WOW glued the loose rubber window edge to the top cover. Fitted the carpet clips that came with the car but were never installed. Had quite a fight with the thick carpet and the narrow pre cut openings, but after some messing around I got them in. Quite an improvement: the mats are now neatly kept in place! Crawled in the boot to operate the manual latch, after I had closed it after disconnecting the battery: stupid. Gave the leather on the drivers side yet another treatment with Gliptone. Is now getting that nice matte finish and the lovely smell. Did some cleaning under the bonnet; am still hasitant to give it a full clean because of the large amount of electrical wires and connectors (it's the V8, so not as cleanly organised as the other models).

Fitted some new washers to Steve916s boot lid mod now works nicely , then gave the old girl a damn good wash having been thru some mucky flood water yesterday...

Apart from installing some extra lights in the boot, installing the DD Android unit I also installed my bonnet LED's. They switch on and off when you open or close the bonnet.

Today I drove to my local scrapyard and got for my V6:

good inlet manifold with throttle body and vis motors (both working)
cam sensor, 2 hole switch panel, a set of Tourer chrome hooks for the boot
(for the diesel) and a set of scuttle clips for £30. :D

I also got a set of tourer roof bars for someone else for £10 :D

Then it hissed down :mad: so I went home to watch the Rugby :D

When I was in Portugal late last year I saw this cheap ARBO Carnauba Polish in one of the big Supermarkets, Continente or Jumbo, can't remember which.

It was only Euro2.99 so I thought it was worth a try. Anyway, I had forgotten about it until today, and seeing as it wasn't raining, (amazing in itself!) I thought I would give it a quick go on the Bonnet seeing as I had given it a quick wash the other day, but had had it covered since.

I was quite impressed how it covered and how nice it applied itself on the paintwork, nice and smooth and creamy! Left it for a few minutes to dry off a bit and I have to honestly say I was impressed how it buffed-up quite quickly, and easily.

So I thought 2 quid well spent. Off course we will wait and see how long it lasts, but it was really smooth and the polish cloth just slid off the Bonnet...

I took a couple of photo's, not the best as it was in the shade between houses.

So if you're in Portugal next time I would recommend it, if you see it... ;)

Drove a friend to A&E earlier - my that V6 can play a merry tune when needs must!:D

I changed the Auto Transmission Fluid on my V6.
I bought the car a month or so ago and although if came with "FSH" it was just stamps in the book, so I am working on the assumption that the ATF had never been changed. Anyway, it has now.

Bought illuminated sun visors, auto dip mirror and new intercooler o-rings. Next weekend will be fitting them along with projector headlamps :-)

Washed it even though it was raining but think it deserved it after passing mot yesterday with only handbrake adjustment required.

I decided to go to halfrauds and get a new high beam bulb, they checked their system and pointed to a certain bulb " this is what you need sir ", so off I go outside to replace the bulb and the heavens open.

I decided to kill two birds with one stone and go to the Tesco and change the bulb in the covered car park only to find it was the wrong bulb.

Went back down to Halfrauds got the right one, fitted it and then noticed as I was changing the bulb that the LED sidelight bulb fell off into the light itself, so next job will be to remove bumper and n/s light and try to fish it out. :duh:

Just get a length of wire with some sticky tape on the end, & go fishing ;) Less hassle than removing bumper etc :D

Sealed around the rear light cluster as water was getting in here. Drained the boot and dried it out. Added rear smiley number plate and touched up some small scratches with touch up paint.

Ive finally cleaned mine after saving it from scrap two weeks ago

finally replaced xenon burners as mine was 4200k and 6000k and both old.
so bought some 10 quid mark 6000k burners and fitted them.
i don't know how long they will last but for tenner at least checked if i will like 6000k colour temp.

Just for fun I thought I'd try to check the clutch fluid level. Couldn't get the cap off. Decided it was no fun so had tea & scones instead.

Checked pleniums. Flushed out blocked windscreen washer pump and bottle. Cleaned car. Checked tyre pressures. Had a cold beer.

Today I drove my ZT-T to Wakefield and back from Southport for a meet - 130 faultless miles on the M62/M60/M6.

Feels lovely to be back in a ZT-T. :o

Today I washed the 75 with a Gerni I bought today. Washed with plain water then sonax car wash then rinsed again.
Very impressed with the results especially evident with the wheels and in the wheel arches.
Hand wash then Wax next then clean the concrete drive. Then the patio. Then the outside of the house, then...well you get the idea :)

If you put a screw driver or similar onto a notch on the cap and tap it round with a rubber hammer

Been driving my ZT like a mad man and the fuel consumption has gone up to 20.4 mpg from 19.1 mpg around town. Whooppeeeeee :drunk:

Went out to my 75 at 710am and pressed the unlock button, nothing :( tried my jump start battery, still nothing, waiting for RAC to arrive and late for work !:mad:

Funny as when I drive my ZT with bit zest she seems much crisper on throttle too.

Broken battery I assume.....

Annoying of course, on the other hand; if that's all, it's not that worse. :D

Retrofitted my chrome bullet power folds and got them to work without the loom :) and got one step closer to completing my sound system :D

Ordered the correct lead for my new Symphony.

Drove to the Lake District looking for higher ground to avoid floods. Still need to fit Jezzer's rear light seals as its raining Datsun Cogs here to.:sunny:

Used it for work, long motorway trip with mystery ABS fault having a field day.
Very boring with no music DD unit away for repair:mad:

Took car to garage probably to have a new turbo.

Went for a long drive along a rural A road, came to a bit where the road dips to go uder a railway line and spotted deep water. The car stuck on the other side of the road gave the game away.

Did a U-turn and went back again, flashing headlights at all the cars coming in the opposite direction who had no idea what was about to hit them.

Waiting for Autoglass to return to remedy the rubbish job they did when fitting a new windscreen a couple of weeks back

Absolutely nothing today. Its enough to blow you bald in Dudley. Had to retrieve the bin from up a tree when i let the cats out at 7:00 :duh::eek::eek:

Checked to make sure the Cover was still there - it was.... ;)

Today nothing, last week engine mount replaced, EGR cleaned, plenum rodded (although nice and dry) oil and filter, air filter pollen filter all changed, brakes cleaned, drivers door realigned so it shuts properly, sun visor fixed crank pulley replaced plus belts.

Was going to hoover and wash today but weather has convinced me to have a day in the warm:}

I fitted a Synergy and its made a big difference :D Its eventually stopped raining at 3:00.........

Enough time after the rain and before it got dark, to wash'n'polish ready for tomorrow's meet at the Halfway House (Essex)

Last night my Son called, his train was late and he had missed his connection, so I drove 25 miles to get him.

It was an awful night, sleet and wipers on full speed, with standing water on the motorway.

VERY impressed with the Nokian D3 winter tyres in these conditions, the 75 sat rock solid and I was able to comfortably pass cars which were clearly very 'nervous' in the conditions.

Picked up a very cold and wet Son, and, if anything, the return journey was wetter, again the 75 was great.

There had been a crash where an RX8 had spun and hit the central barrier, it looks as if rear wheel drive and go kart tyres were maybe less than ideal, fortunately only the car was hurt.

It was basically the same journey I had made in the Mercedes C220 the day before, and even though it was dark, wet, and with much worse road conditions, I felt better coming out of the 75 compared with the Merc.

I've been professing the superb handling properties of Nokian Tyres on here for ages, not that anybody has noticed, I've fitted them on a few cars I've had and always been impressed, plus they don't cost the earth!

I was out with the family so the ZT stayed at home. I spent most of the day fantasising about doing a bit of 'enthusiastic driving' on some country lanes. Tomorrow I need to rod the plenum drains, replace as few bulbs and go and get her cleaned and hoovered.

Yesterday filled up with petrol and added Redex treatment ;p, then he'd pleasant run south to see Mike Noc to collect my Highline satnav. Looking forward to installation and getting to grips with it. :D
