Brilliant post, thanks :}

That is very impressive for a 'Straight' road being built. :eek:

They have no traffic to redirect, no kerb stones to lay, no corners to manoeuvre around, no drains, no trenches, no manhole's and no pipework/gas/water services to worry about. They are in the middle of nowhere so it should be that quick an easy for them. :D

Stick the Aussie's in the centre of London and then see what happens.

Like this about the road in Japan being repaired in 48 hours, but the opening was delayed for another 5 days due to Health & safety checks.

Was in Morrisons supermarket today, and noticed the toilets were closed for cleaning - 1 hour later they were still closed ..... when I enquired why it took so long to clean the loos, I was told that they have to remain shut until the washed floor drys for "Health & Safety" reasons.....

Its a CRAZE world .... :shrug:

I doubt it will, its bitumen with aggregate laid like you would ice a cake.

flying_pig 15th February 2017 18:47

Could not happen here 48 hours would take to decide who is responsible for that part of the road and another week for all health and safety inspecors to give a green light to fix it:getmecoat:

Yep, but I can't see their tailgates opening in the video at exactly where the gear gets laid. Deffo a doctored video for me.

That's not a road being built. What you see is the wearing course being laid.

There is a great deal more work before what you see in that video happens.

I guess if would fool a lot of folk if you know nothing about road construction though.

Thread moved to a more appropriate forum. Re-direct left in old. ;)
