75s hard to let go
geez, i got down to one zt and sold my 3 rover 75s.
Thought i had moved on buying a jeep grand cherokee and love that car BUT i have just seen a Dover white 2005 rover 75 diesel with 135,000km on it in great condition. Ex local rover club guy over here. He wants top $ for it but boy its a nice car!! Very tempted- |
Go on, you know you want to…..:D

Very much so. I believe, anecdotally, that our car values are quietly going north. Becoming a classic takes time of course! :}

Can relate!
Following some issues earlier in the year I put my 75 on SORN and laid her up in a relatives garage. With a baby only a few months old, I needed a solid car so I then proceeded to buy a 2019 Mazda 6 - literally the only modern car that took my fancy. Its brilliant, and a joy to drive. But I miss my 75 and every day I just can't stop thinking about getting her out and back on the road. :duh: |

I am still looking and can confirn that is true. I am magic at selling cars at the nadir of their worth and actually gave away a vgc 1966 Minor in the 80's, sold a 2CV for peanuts a decade later, along with a Granada. More recently I sold a 1996 Celica for £900 that would cost me 5x that to buy back and even more recently (2016) I sold a Cherokee 1998 4.0 for £350 just to get shut quick, that same car would now go for £3k+! Oddball or good looking cars (that I like to have around as a 2nd car) will always reach a point when demand outstrips supply, that's why I bought an unmolested 1992 Eunos 4 years ago and won't sell it. I'd also like a Toyota Rav4 MK1 but in the last 12 months prices for these have absolutely rocketed. As a 75 owner you might not feel it, but as a wannabe one I can feel that the prices are going to rocket within 2/3 years. |
Life is for living.

i think if i got this car it would be a keeper and probably garaged as it is in great condition. Problem is you can only drive one car at a time!!

Despite the problems I have on the V6 I have trouble getting rid of it. I even wanted to replace it with a Jaguar S type. But for now, I’m still in love with my Rover. Goodbye gentlemen. |
