I think the effing clutch has gone again!
It seems the effing clutch has gone less then a year after it was replaced.
I have had to leave it at work and I did not have time to look for much. Seems around the master is dry. Demoralised and under pressure to fix. macafee2 |
Done at a garage? Surely the parts are still under warranty at least? I had the same with mine. I thought the slave must be leaking, as the clutch lost pressure after around 3 weeks. Nothing obvious on 2nd replacement.

Thats worrying!
Petrol of diesel? Mine needs a new clutch as the pedal is SO heavy it feels almost like a brake pedal! I'm saving up to get the whole lot changed, dual mass flywheel etc. |

I was under the impression that DMF's rarely fail macafee2 |
Been back to work and got the car home, clutch was a good as gold but I kept gear changes to a minimum. I will have to park the car up until I can check the fluid level in the master cylinder and go from there

These things are sent to try us Ian. If you want a hand to get the box back in let me know - hopefully I should have my kitchen refurb finished in the next week or two, but can pop down for a bit one evening and have a break from it. . |
If I can be of assistance let me know Ian

Sad thing is this is a very common situation that happens to a lot of us including me. New clutch and DMF fitted, master failed after 13 months and 3000 miles and then the slave failed another 10 months later. Parts were top branded parts also, so reliability of these good brands is as questionable as the rubbish on the market.

This is why I, when my clutch does, will fit the cheapest parts available. |
