ZTT-T Diesel 135 Slave Cylinder Help
The clutch slave cylinder has gone on my ZT-T. I had the whole clutch (inc. DMF replaced 20,000 miles ago - not sure if slave was also replaced then), so it should just be the slave that now needs replacing:
Q1) Is this a job that can practically be done on the driveway? Q2) What type of cost should I be being quoted for this?(I see that the LUK Freelander part is recommended so I would purchase this separately). Q3) Any recommendations who I could get to do this (mobile), as I really don't want the expense of transporting the car to a garage (subject to answer to Q1!)? Thanks, Stephen |
It's a gearbox out job mate look on the forum there is a guide to getting it out

Have look in the--How-To---section.
There is a detailed method by French Mike. Can be done on the driveway but not usually a job for a DIY mechanic. At that mileage you quoted the clutch itself should be fine. You could always take a look at it when the slave cylinder is being done. |
It's not a job I'm going to attempt myself. Any recommendations as to a mobile mechanic willing to take this on?

how did you get on with the slave, what slave did you use?
