front strut transplant from ZT 190 tourer to 75 CDTi Tourer
Is it feasible to transplant complete front struts inc brakes from face lift ZT-T V6 190 to Mk 1 75 CDTi Tourer.?
Any issues with springs, ride height etc Or ECUs Will rear suspension need changing? thanks in anticipation |
Advice requested
Any guidance re compatibility of springs, ride height, dampers would be welcome

I don't know the answer I'm afraid, however, a comparison of part compatibility on the Rimmer Brothers website could be a starting point if nobody else answers!

Certainly the ZT front end would sit quite a bit lower and be firmer than the rear so it would look somewhat strange. I would advise staying with 75 parts. Cheers Ian |
As far as I know the parts would be compatible but if changing the brakes from a 190 variant then the standard 75 wheels (apart from the Starspokes I think) wouldn’t fit over the larger calipers.
The 75 would look lower of course, and handle better with a firmer ride. That’s down to personal choice but to answer your question, yes, in principle, you can do it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Thanks for replies
Thanks for comments - in fact mine are 16" wheels but would probably still be a problem.
It was just a thought - with a pair of struts available from a friend. |
