Private Message Notification.

I used to get a large red? box in the top / middle of my screen saying that I had a PM.

Additionally, I get a small notification on the right hand side, just above "Quick Links" and "Log Out"

I now only get the second smaller box.

Is this a deliberate change, or something not working as it should please?
