Both Ratty and Banana were given a thorough wash today. The grim from IOW to Saltash was all washed off.

continued stripping the 180 with the help of @ryszard and @Lynyrd Skynner who made me envious turning up in his Typhoone 190 lovely car under the watchfull eye of max the dog ... we have broken the back of the strippin thank you so much guys ..

you will notice the MGR approved method of removing the rear subframe due to rounded and rusted trailing arm bolts (shame as they had new bushed fitted last year)

And..

As you're handy with the nine inch grinder, take it through the pillars and floors and salvage those sill sections from front to back. If you can get those and stash them, you will thank me for reminding you to do this in time...It's sad to see a nice car like this.

Much as I hate to see a lovely car chopped up (done it myself many times with P4 and older Rovers) I do agree with the comment made to save any rust-free body panels especially the sills, perhaps best kept as full length. Obviously you'll be keeping all the electricals.

For my own car, the set of Y-fork wheels arrived today, but not yet sure what tot put them on. Other job was yet again to top up the groaning power steering; I must investigate its bad leak.

I have another scrapper for the cills ;)

but I am debating a second set as the silver one has quite a big dent in its cill
