my poor finger
my poor left middle finger. About 3 years ago I cut my left middle finger badly enough to require a skin graft and physiotherapy. A few days ago I trapped it between a club hammer and my vice taking a piece of skin off just below the nail. Today I caught the same damn finger between the handle of a fork and a piece of 2 x 2 as I was driving the fork down, cutting the skin graft. The end and middle of my finger now hurt and we are trying to find something to cover the finger under a glove so I can work in the garden.
I'm getting fed up with this macafee2 |

The truth is that I was welding a new cab panel on to a class 37 loco, one of the clamps let go and it spun down like a blade, I wasn't quite quick enough to get totally clear or I'd have lost much more. The re-attach job went well and today there's hardly a mark. The very same finger I gashed on a broken sink basin when I was having eye problems, it went bad but recovered. I understand where Mac is with his injuries, we take fingers too much for granted. |

The best thing about fingers is, that they are so close at hand.;)
