Some Photos at Dungeness
Some photos taken by me at Dungeness in Kent, most of them on Jan 2nd this year.
I will add some details to go with them - and a couple more - soon. https://c8.staticflickr.com/3/2863/9...63feff7c_z.jpgNo More Fishing by RT4404, on Flickr https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/320/32...05613b1f_z.jpgExposed Colours by RT4404, on Flickr https://c3.staticflickr.com/1/259/32...5a38937e_z.jpgIMGP5838A by RT4404, on Flickr https://c3.staticflickr.com/1/749/32...257d4bb1_z.jpgIMGP5833 by RT4404, on Flickr https://c5.staticflickr.com/1/456/31...0dd637fb_z.jpgbeach B&W web by RT4404, on Flickr https://c8.staticflickr.com/1/514/32...0ab4cba7_z.jpgNo10 B&W2 by RT4404, on Flickr |

Some more from Dungeness
A few more shots from the other Monday at Dungeness.
As well as being a nature reserve, Dungeness is also an SSSI and an area of National Conservation. The latter means that little can be materially changed, but also as importantly nothing can be removed. So all the old redundant huts, winches, boats etc remain - gradually degrading. All this infrastructure has gradually been stranded by the expansion of the shingle, the current fishing fleet has moved closer to the shoreline. https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/516/31...a93b24b2_c.jpgIMGP5823B&Wweb by RT4404, on Flickr https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/332/31...058ed66d_c.jpgIMGP5835web by RT4404, on Flickr https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/600/32...152d1a8d_c.jpgIMGP5836B&Wweb by RT4404, on Flickr |
Nice shots again.
Good to see a Pentax shooter. I still have my old KR in the cupboard. What lens were you using on these wide shots? |
Hi Paul
Thanks for the comments. The lens used for the beach shots is a Sigma 10-20 which I've had for many years. if there's a good sky this will really show it up. The body used was a K20d, I still carry my old K100d around if I need back-up! Les |
Some very powerful images. The black and white shots reminded me very much of the work of Ansel Adams, the great American photographer.
Cheers |
Absolutely fantastic shots. Reminds me of the front cover of a book I read recently The Birdwatcher which was set around Dungeness. Nice work.
