Any member looking to buy one at auction in Lancashire be warned!! Headgasket and auction is his plan. I have to come clean and state I now own an Astra estate. Thanks for all help every one.

Proper result, man was as good as his word.

Now then about this Astra. :D Hope it stands you in good stead, you're welcome here in any event.

Thanks GG,
Eventually ok. His opening gambit was 'I'll soon have it fixed' followed by 'he must adjust price for wear & tear.' Can't blame him for trying though.

I have to say John though not a 75 the Astra is a very well made car with a lovely auto box. Should I stumble on a nice 75 tourer deisel in the future I might be tempted.

Be careful what you say fooman re K Series Engine, as the V6 is also a K Series engine. You are in great danger in upsetting all the V6 Fans with your above statement.
Not to worry that you have upset me!!!! as I.m a staunch supporter of the K Series 4 Potters.:D:D
Look after them and they will do you proud. Had 3 in a row and never any engine problems.

Telfer.

No, you're not  You've just been bitten by the 75 bug. It's a serious affliction, but strangely satisfying.:D

I would contact Trading Standard and inform them of your situation,
even if the dealer does give you back all the monies you have paid out i would still want this dealer to be looked in to only to stop it happening again to another buyer.

get your money back first, then tell trading standards.
