Rover 75 AC question
Hi everybody
Im just trying to see what the problem with my aircon on my Diesel 75 2002 , i have a working fan on slow speed and all speeds working also new belt fitted , Tried the diagnostic test and i get the code FC 00 which i believe is no errors found, If it was low on gas would it have shown me an error code ?? or could it be something else. I just didnt want go getting it recharged if it may have another fault. thanks |

Does the compressor engage when you press the windscreen demist button? Do you have poor cooling or no cooling at all? Is the cooling better when the car is travelling at speed and worst when stationary? Simon |

1.Yes the compressor engages when demist pressed. 2. no cooling at all. 3. about the same when traveling or still. thanks |
Thanks for your answers Julian. It does sound as if your system is low on refrigerant but I would advise against heading off to the nearest fast-fit outfit or garage for a cheap and cheerful recharge. You'll get a much better service from an air conditioning specialist, either with premises (not easy to find these days) or a mobile self-employed business.

Just had my air-con recharged yesterday, Lasted out well from new. 2003.
It was only cool but now I had trouble letting go of the steering wheel as it had frozen my fingers to it.-------;););) |
