Airbag deployment in a ZT
Good evening: has anyone any idea please as to what speed a ZT airbag will deploy at?
Regards Steve |
It's not speed the airbag deploys, it's the sudden stop:eek::D

And for any pedants out there, yes, you have acceleration in negative figures. |

I thought its electric impulse that deploy airbags:D

Thread moved to a more appropriate forum. Re-direct left in old. This may be the better forum as threads get ‘lost’ very quickly in the General Forum.;)

With the ignition on they can deploy even if you are stationary when hit. |

'negative acceleration' is grammatically an oxymoron :duh: (so not correct to say).... confusion might arise because acceleration could be described mathematically as 1 ft/s/s (one foot per second per second) and deceleration as -1 foot/s/s (minus one foot per second per second) - looks like 'negative acceleration' does it not? n.b - I know the foot isn't the official ISO unit of distance - but I thought that the majority here would understand imperial measurements better than metric...:getmecoat: Save |
With the age of our car`s it would be interesting to see how many of our airbags failed to deploy...
....Anyone fancy a MG/75 stock car event ? :D:D:eek: Ken. |
