Rear offside sill rust

I spotted bubbling and pinpoint water seepage through the bubbles. Jacking point rubber is coated in rust. I've been here before around 7 years back, so it's a little disappointing especially as I treated the area with waxoyl after some welding work. I'm at the meet in Lincolnshire on the 2nd - I will be looking for guidance from any experts. Looking forward to the event - it looks like it is well subscribed!

Hi Rob.
You are not on your own, whom did the job for you last time, i have been sorting out a broken rear spring over the last two days i have changed both even though one was good, while doing it i have noticed the dreaded red sign of rust :eek:

We all know what will happen if i go poking the nest :D so will be contacting Mr T Hobbs in the very near future, then it will be moving onto the upper rear arms.

My offside rear sill died , so I bought the repair panel from Tom Hobbs on ebay and then had the job carried out by a local classic car body outfit . They also did some extra welding on the jacking point , which they felt was advisable , altogether £250 .
Very pleased indeed with both the team and the job :}
