The worst has happened....

Helping out a friend here, they disconnected their battery without the shutdown process properly on their highline sat nav unit.

Now ive done the Highline reset process just incase that would help but hasnt.

Details are its a mk3 sat nav drive system and highline tv unit

What was happening was the sat nav red light was staying on continuously for some time, but after the reset its only staying on for 4 mins or so.

Is the sat nav unit bricked? Ive been trying to find the best and worst case situations,

I've not heard of that one before, usually the problem is not shutting down at all which causes battery drain.

So it shuts down after 4mins even when the engine is running? What happens to the menu screen, does it go black or do you just loose the GPS Navigation option?
