Sad news today. Bristol Cars into Liquidation.

Yes, sad news indeed for this car enthusiast.

That’s not good. As you said, a fine marque that I’m my eyes was always better than a Rolls.

Great cars but god they were ugly

Interesting, the parent company also own the Frazer-Nash name.

It is a shame but miraculous really that such a small-scale manufacturer lasted so long.

I'd not paid much attention to Bristol cars until about 10years ago I got involved with helping my neighbour restore a Bristol 400. My old neighbour who sadly passed away last month knew the 400 series inside out and many had passed through his hands albeit they are not for the faint hearted when it comes to restoration costs.
A gentleman's club on wheels!! Hope a saviour can be found.

Always used to look in the Bristol showroom in West Kensington when ever I was passing.

As said before sad another famous British marque has gone.

I was surprised to read of the demise of Bristol, as for some reason I thought they went long ago... Can't say I feel especially moved by the news (apart from sympathy for the employees as they deal with all the horrors that a company closure brings.) The cars? To me they were ugly, eccentric and ludicrously expensive.

I would agree with you on that one but the 406 was nice though.

Beautiful cars. My sister used to ride horses with a friend who’s Father was a well known Bristol specialist. Based near Solihull in the West Midlands he had a vast collection and was the man to go to for parts and restoration. Brian May, nothing to do with the Queen guitar player. Always took a look at his collection as a boy.
