Sunroof motor

The sunroof motor in my daughters 75 2.5 V6 has burnt to a crisp, even melted the plastic brush holder. Has anyone got a spare?

Thanks

Motor Gone!

Hi chaps - newbie here, be gentle please :}

So the sunroof motor burnt out on my 2005 75 2.5 Connoisseur SE at a very inconvenient moment. RAC bloke came out, removed it, manually closed the roof & drove off.

In a schoolboy error, in all the kerfuffle, I allowed him to take the old one away, so now I have no idea what it should look like! :duh:

There appear to be two types available on eBay one with a cable attached, and one more of a V shape with no cable - Webasto? The description on eBay suggests this latter one is the correct one, but it looks a little large to me...

Any idea which one I should buy? If someone has one for sale I'd be interested.

Thanks.
Tazza

Think I'm sorted...

Hi Trikey

Thanks for the offer, but I think I'm sorted for one - somebody PM'd me straight away!

Gotta say: I'm really impressed at the speed you both responded! I was expecting a few days before anybody even noticed.

Just goes to show, this forum is a really impressive repository of expertise and supply! :bowdown:

Thanks.

Glad you are sorted, I would advise manually opening and closing the roof using an allen key to ensure its running freely before fitting the motor, if it is sticking that could be the cause of the old motor dying.
