Hello Stranger, did you use the new MLS gasket and oil ladder rail? if not, thats the way to go.

Hi mate, long time no hear.
Wondered how you were getting on. Sounds like you're not having much luck. :( Russ |
how are you all not shown much interest in anything car related for past 11 month and 21 days but get my license back in ten days just as the car breaks down so i cant drive anywhere but i'll be at a meet before the end of the year had the landrover gasket done from someone based in birmingham last year this gasket has lasted just over a year one before that only lasted a couple on month

when is the next yorkshire meet?

Looks like it will be in October Chris, this month's meet is a combined Yorkshire/ Geordie meet on the 27th at Locomotion at Shildon, Co. Durham. ;)
If you can't make it look forward to seeing you at the next Yorkie one. Russ |
Chris
Nothing more discouraging than continual head gasket failure. Just thought I would mention that I once had a Singer Vogue (what's that you say?) with the same problem. Head was skimmed each time it happened and the head gasket replaced. Eventually a replacement short block was neccessary. The problem never returned. I am convinced that the original block itself was distorted. Barry |
