Air con compressor - where to buy?

I’ve bitten the bullet and booked my CDTi in for an exam of the air con which failed with insufficient vacuum. Prior to failure the ac belt had been a little noisy so I’m thinking it could be the compressor failing.
I’ve googled a new one but there is a lot of variation in price so I wondered if anyone could recommend a supplier? DMGRS only list the V8 part.
Would be nice to get the ac sorted as if I can, I’ll keep the car over the temporary e46 I’m driving..

Hi Mick,

The usual cause of that on the diesel is the crankshaft pulley not the air conditioning compressor. Be careful where you spend your money! ;)

Hi Mick.
For the diesel CDTi the part number is JPB101460, i know this because today i have been sorting out some fans, and made room to set up a test jig and at the back on one of the deep shelves i found these two compressors below.
